Joins Sony Classical - Continues PS 321 Neighborhood Concerts in Brooklyn

Simone has recently signed an exclusive recording agreement with Sony Classical. Her first album for the label will be announced this spring.

At home in Brooklyn, Simone launched PS 321 Neighborhood Concerts, an evening series at the public school that her son attends and where her husband teaches. (Simone also attended the school, and her mother taught there.) The musicians performing donate their time, and ticket sales benefit the school's PTA.

The final concert of this school year was on April 15. Face the Music, a new music ensemble for children in 6th to 12th grades, gave the world premiere of a new piece by composer and PS 321 faculty member Joe Phillips called "Liquid Timepieces." PS 321 is located at 180 Seventh Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
